This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes what data is collected when using the Thunder Engine website (the "Site"), available at https://thunderengine.org, for what purposes it is processed, and what rights users have.
1. Data Controller
The data controller is the owner of the Site — Evgeniy Prikazchikov (the "Controller"). For any questions related to data processing, you can contact us at: privacy@thunderengine.org.
2. What Data Is Collected
The Site is static and does not contain registration forms, user accounts, or any other mechanisms that require entering personal data. The following technical data may be collected automatically:
- IP address (Google Analytics 4 has IP anonymization enabled — the address is stored in truncated form);
- information about the browser and device (type, version, screen resolution, language);
- visit data: pages viewed, visit time, referral source (referrer);
- cookies and localStorage records used for analytics and for remembering your choice in the consent banner.
3. Cookies and Google Analytics
The Site uses the web analytics service "Google Analytics 4", provided by Google LLC (Google Ireland Limited in the EU). Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the Site and improve it. The Google Analytics tag is loaded only after the user clicks the "Accept" button in the consent banner. If the user clicks "Decline", the tag is not loaded and no analytical data about that user is collected.
You can learn more about how Google processes data in the Google Privacy Policy and in the Google Analytics documentation.
You can change or withdraw your consent at any time by clearing the site's data in your browser settings ("Cookies and site data" / "Local Storage"). After that, the consent banner will appear again on your next visit.
You can also prevent Google Analytics from collecting data by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
4. Purposes of Processing
- Analyzing traffic and user behavior to improve the Site;
- Ensuring the operation and security of the Site;
- Complying with legal requirements.
5. Legal Basis
Data processing is carried out on the basis of the user's consent, expressed by clicking the "Accept" button in the consent banner, as well as on the basis of the Controller's legitimate interest in ensuring the operation and security of the Site.
6. Transfer of Data to Third Parties
Technical data about visits is transferred to Google LLC as part of the use of Google Analytics. No data is transferred to other third parties, except in cases expressly provided for by law.
7. Data Retention
Data in Google Analytics is retained for the period set in the property settings (14 months by default; you can configure this in your GA4 property). The consent record in localStorage is retained until the user clears the site's data in the browser.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- withdraw consent to data processing (by clearing cookies and localStorage);
- request information about the processing of your data;
- request rectification, blocking, or deletion of data;
- lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority for the protection of personal data.
To exercise your rights, please send a request to privacy@thunderengine.org.
9. Security
The Controller takes reasonable organizational and technical measures to protect data from unauthorized access, destruction, modification, and distribution. However, no method of transmitting data over the internet is absolutely secure.
10. Changes to the Policy
The Controller may amend this Policy. The current version is always available on this page. The date of the last update is indicated at the beginning of the document.
11. Contact
